Bronze People of Albuquerque: The Series: Bronze Ballerina

by Ashley Drake Gephart

The inconspicuous bronze people lurking around various parts of Albuquerque…

I drive by this one almost daily. I never noticed the butterfly until I got out to take a photo. She is outside the Jewish Community Center on Wyoming, just north of Spain. I have always thought of her as a ballerina.

Come back next week to see where the next one is spotted! If you have seen any of these people in Albuquerque, leave me a comment to let me know where. I will go grab a photo for a future post.

I live in NJ and these type of statues are few and far between but they can look very powerful and stand out nicely…their are some great ones nearby in Philadelphia and NY however.

Matt – I agree they really are powerful. I can still vividly remember the first time I saw one and that was over 17 years ago.
