Library Summer Reading Program

Cherry Hills Library Albuquerque NM

This weekend the Albuquerque Public Libraries kicked off their summer reading program with events at several local libraries.

Cherry Hills Library Summer Reading Program

This year Cherry Hills had a great event with a magician, juggler, and even some Stormtroopers!

This great program is open to all ages and runs from May 30th – July 25th. You can earn prizes for reading or for having someone read to you. You can even listen to audio books while driving around Albuquerque; the library has a great selection.

This year’s theme is "Catch the Reading Bug!" and carries over to the summer film festival at the library. For the younger ones, the “Summer Reading Bug Film Festival” includes classics such as "Charlotte’s Web" and newer movies like "Bee Movie". There’s also a series of “Classic 50′s Horror Films”.

For more free summer fun at the library, check out its schedule of activities.
