Albuquerque Home Maintenance

With the falling leaves and cooler temperatures upon us, now is the time you’ll want to make sure your home is ready for the Winter season ahead. By just following a few maintenance tips, a little Fall effort could save you alot of Spring money!

  • Safety Devices: Check that all smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers are in working order. Replace batteries as needed.
  • Faucets: Check for leaky faucets in your kitchen and bathrooms. Replace washers as necessary. Make sure the caulking seals around your sinks, tubs, and toilets will prevent any water leakage.
  • Windows & Doors: Seal any drafty doors and windows. Replace weatherstripping as needed.
  • Evaporative Cooler & Swimming Pool: Make sure these systems are winterized.
  • Heating System: Change filters and check for proper operation.
  • Siding & Paint: Check for cracks or holes in house siding or paint.
  • Gutters: Clean gutters and drain pipes of leaves. Drain gutters away from your house.
  • Chimney: Clean flues and check your fireplace damper. You might want to have a professional chimney sweeper tackle this messy job.
  • Roof: Check your roof skylights, vents, and chimneys for leaks.

So protect your investment by keeping up on your home maintenance this Fall!
