Albuquerque Civic Cinema Classic Film Nights

The City of Albuquerque has announced an outdoor film series featuring five free classic films this Summer at the Harry E. Kinney Civic Plaza. The Plaza features a giant picture screen with movies starting at approximately 9:00 pm each night.

The schedule is as follows:

June 19 – War of the Worlds (1953 – Action) – details
June 26 – West Side Story (1961 – Musical) – details
July 17 – The Outsiders (1983 – Crime) – details
July 24 – E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982 – Adventure) – details
July 31 – Grease (1978 – Comedy) – details

All films will be open-captioned for the hearing impaired. Seating and tables will be provided. You may bring picnic supplies, blankets and chairs. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are prohibited. Pets must be on a leash. Non-contracted vendors may not sell in designated program areas.
