Kudos to the City of Albuquerque for its transparent accountability of funds received from President Obama’s Stimulus Package! Albuquerque’s Recovery Webpage gives the taxpayers an interactive and lucid presentation of how the City’s funds are being re-energized project-by-project. Click on any piece of the Fund Allocation Pie Chart and you’ll get a detailed explanantion of that component’s goals through a project breakdown. Information such as Jobs Created/Retained is given along with the City Team assigned to and responsible for the project. Further, by clicking on any particular project on the subsequent pie chart, you’ll get a specific project description as well as a Spending Tracker. The scorecard allows you to see the planned progress the City of Albuquerque intends to make through a straight-lined chart based on dates of spending. The maps tab (if applicable) will give you a visual of all the project’s affected locations in the city. There’s even a feedback tab allowing you to send your opinion or message to the manager of the program! The “Bird’s Eye View” section of the main page shows you how the City of Albuquerque makes the grade. The “See-It” Software allows you to select each major Recovery component to track its performance through a color-coded legend based on specific targets the City has set for itself. Finally, you can follow the City of Albuquerque on Twitter to hear the latest about the City’s Recovery! |
