High Desert is a finely planned community with a focus on the preservation of the natural topography. Nighttime lighting is kept to a minimum, allowing stunning views of the city below and the starry skies above.
The High Desert Community is located in the Foothills of Albuquerque. It’s positioned east of Tramway and can be accessed via Spain or Academy. It backs to the Sandia Mountains and sits between Arroyo del Oso to its south and Elena Gallegos open space to its North.
Tramway provides easy access to 1-40 and I-25 and Paseo Del Norte makes getting to the west side fast and convenient. The City’s Park and Ride serves the neighborhood with a location at Montgomery and Tramway.
High Desert has a diverse mix of housing including single family homes, townhomes, and luxury homes. High Desert features custom homes on large lots, gated communities, and apartment homes. Each village in High Desert has a unique architectural style. You’ll find attached, detached, single story, two story, 2-6 bedrooms, 2-7 bathrooms, and 2-5 garage spaces. Many of the communities have their own parks. The High Desert Neighborhood has an intricate system of walking trails.
The nearby community of Tanoan offers a golf course and country club with membership available to non-Tanoan residents.
